RUSTlab seeks to promote a logic of care in academic work, i.e. practices characterized by situated tinkering, distributed agency, continuity and embodied relational knowing. Care practices imply relations of friendship. Friends are that and those who engage in promoting a ”mode of being in the world capable of eroding that which separates us from one another”, as Criado (2019: 421) beautifully puts it, and continues that ”technologies of friendship single out a way of doing in common that does not assume that we already know what we have in common” (423). We list a number of institutions below that through careful situated tinkering like and partly together with the RUSTlab are commited to promote such modes of being in academia.
